FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I start for the DDM|57 and |R?
There are two start times for the individual DDM|57 and relay races, and you can choose your start time freely. The timer is simply activated when the runner crosses the start line, thanks to our timing partner MSO. However, please note that the cut-off times are the same for all runners: 1:00 PM in Vérossaz and 4:00 PM in Salanfe. Adjust your chosen start time according to how long you expect to take.

In other words: The Vérossaz checkpoint only opens at 9 AM. Runners who anticipate reaching Vérossaz from Champéry in under 3 hours must start at 9 AM.

What's the difference between the Relay (DDM|R) and the Discovery (DDM|D)?

The relay race is run by two people. The 57K course is divided into two sections, with each teammate running one section. The ‘Découverte’ (Discovery) is a two-day walking race, starting on Friday (one day before the 57K) with an overnight stay in a gîte, and finishing on Saturday evening at the same time as everyone else.
